About Me

My name is Peter McNeely.  I teach Latin, Greek, Classical Civilisation and Ancient History at GCSE and A-Level for home educated pupils across the UK and EU by Skype and Zoom.

I earned an MA in Latin from the University of St Andrews in 2009.  I gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in 2011.  In 2012 I began tutoring privately as UK Latin Tutor.  In 2018 I became Head of Latin at St Bede's Inter-Church School in Cambridge.  In 2019 I also became the teacher for a Latin GCSE course for Cambridgeshire Home Educating Families.

Below is a complete list of the course components (exam papers) which I teach.  In each case, I have taught the OCR syllabus.  One the advantages of private tuition for me is the wide variety of components I am able to teach in any one year, depending on my pupils’ interests.  An * indicates that I have not taught that component in either the 2019/20 or the 2020/21 school year.  If I am teaching only some of the set text options, I have listed which in brackets.
